The Sculpt Society
Shopify Web Design and Development for The Sculpt Society
Our work on The Sculpt Society focused on strengthening the Shopify experience through thoughtful web design and development. Rather than reinventing the brand, the goal was to refine the existing digital foundation and improve how users interact with the site across devices.
The Sculpt Society’s platform needed to balance a polished, minimal aesthetic with functional clarity. Every decision was evaluated through the lens of user behavior, performance, and scalability.
UI/UX Improvements Focused on Usability
User experience played a central role in this project. Navigation, layout hierarchy, and content flow were refined to reduce friction and help users move through the site intuitively. UI/UX improvements were implemented directly within Shopify to ensure consistency and maintainability.
Special attention was paid to mobile usability, where spacing, interaction patterns, and visual rhythm were adjusted to improve readability and engagement. These refinements helped create a calm, intentional experience that supports both content discovery and conversion.
Shopify Web Design and Development
Shopify was used as the core platform to support ongoing iteration and scalability. Development work focused on implementing design decisions cleanly within the theme editor, optimizing performance, and ensuring flexibility for future updates.
Custom development enhancements were made with longevity in mind, allowing The Sculpt Society’s internal team to manage content efficiently while maintaining visual consistency. Page structure, templates, and interactions were built to support growth without unnecessary complexity.
Supporting Long-Term Digital Growth
This project prioritized building a system that could evolve alongside the brand. Rather than relying on trend-driven design, the approach emphasized clarity, usability, and performance.
The work completed for The Sculpt Society reflects a broader philosophy: strong Shopify web design and development, paired with thoughtful UI/UX, creates a foundation for sustainable digital growth.

The Sculpt Society
The Sculpt Society is the #1 sculpt and dance cardio fitness platform, founded by celebrity trainer Megan Roup. With a global membership, press features in Vogue, Women's Health, the Today Show, and more — and a loyal community built around movement and confidence — TSS is one of the most recognized names in digital fitness.
This is one of the largest and most complex Shopify builds we've done. Over two phases and several years, we architected and designed the full digital experience — migrating the site from Shopify 1.0 to 2.0, building a content and commerce system capable of supporting a subscription app, an e-commerce store, educational programming, live events, and ongoing marketing — all under one roof.
The site was nominated for an Awwwards award.

THE CASE FOR STAYING ON SHOPIFY
When we came on board, TSS was considering leaving Shopify entirely. Their primary business is a fitness app with a subscription model — and the existing site wasn't keeping pace with the brand or the business. WordPress was on the table.
We made the case to stay. TSS still sells activewear, fitness equipment, and gift subscriptions through their store. They had an established Shopify foundation, and rebuilding on a new platform would have meant significant cost, lost history, and a steeper learning curve for a team already stretched thin. Shopify, built correctly, could do everything they needed.
Balancing App & Ecommerce
The real challenge wasn't the platform — it was the scope. TSS needed one site to serve four very different jobs simultaneously: convert app subscriptions, support a full e-commerce store, educate new members through long-form content, and function as a marketing platform for programs, events, and brand partnerships. All with a consistent visual language and a backend the team could manage without a developer.
We migrated the site from Shopify 1.0 to 2.0 and built out 50+ pages — each with a specific job. Program and class pages weren't informational — they were full conversion landing pages designed to move a visitor from curious to subscribed. The TSS Mama program page included trimester-by-trimester breakdowns, press features from Shape and Glamour, testimonials, and gifting options. The Bridal Program had dual purchase paths — full membership or program rental. Every program followed the same pattern: editorial design, structured content, a clear path to trial.
BRINGING THE SITE INTO ALIGNMENT
In 2025, The Sculpt Society launched a rebrand. We returned to bring the site into full alignment with the new direction — refining the UI, updating the visual language, restructuring navigation, and making sure the experience reflected where the brand had grown.
The navigation was redesigned with a clearer content strategy — "How We Sculpt" and "About The Society" as top-level categories make the depth of the platform legible at a glance. The homepage moved from informational to immersive, leading with identity before product.
Phase 2 wasn't a rebuild. The architecture from Phase 1 held. What changed was everything the visitor sees first.
Beyond the Build
Marketing pages extended the brand into campaigns — Black Friday sale pages, influencer affiliate landing pages with custom promo codes, brand partnership pages. A national pop-up tour events page managed ticket availability across a dozen cities. A dedicated press and testimonials page aggregated coverage from Vogue, InStyle, Women's Health, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, and the Today Show alongside community reviews.
We used metafields and metaobjects throughout to give the blog and content pages a structured, templated architecture — so the TSS team could publish consistently without touching code. To support long-term independence, we filmed a full tutorial series walking the team through how to manage every section of the site.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING
"Since the launch of our new website, both site performance and maintenance have outperformed our expectations. Externally, we have seen a significant increase in traffic across channels, particularly organic, and in conversions. Internally, we have been able to manage our needs efficiently and effectively with the website, the backend, and the training that Hayda Studios created."
